Ashley Condell, office assistant in the department of environmental and global health, was named the College of Public Health and Health Professions’ 2014 Employee of the Year.

Linda B. Cottler, Ph.D., M.P.H., chair of the department of epidemiology at the colleges of Public Health and Health Professions and Medicine, and PHHP’s associate dean for research and planning, received the National Center for Responsible Gaming’s 2014 Scientific Achievement Award.

Scott Griffiths, Ph.D., an associate professor in the department of speech, language, and hearing sciences, was elected secretary of the Accreditation Commission on Audiology Education.

David Janicke, Ph.D., an associate professor and interim chair of the department of clinical and health psychology, co-authored a paper that was selected for the 2014 Diane Willis Award for Outstanding Article in the Journal of Pediatric Psychology.

Douglas Martin, a financial assistance counselor in the department of clinical and health psychology, Wanda Washington, an academic advisor for the colleges of Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health and Health Professions, and Lori Waxenberg, Ph.D., a clinical professor in the department of clinical and health psychology, received UF Superior Accomplishment awards.

Debra Shimon, Au.D., a clinical associate professor in the department of speech, language, and hearing sciences, was elected president of the Florida Academy of Audiology.

Nicole Whitehead, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the department of clinical and health psychology, was selected for UF’s CTS K Scholar Multidisciplinary Program, a highly competitive research training program for junior faculty.
