PHHP welcomes new director of advancement
The college has named M. Blake Harrison as director of advancement.
The College of Public Health and Health Professions welcomes M. Blake Harrison as director of advancement. In this role, Harrison leads the execution of college fundraising strategies, connecting alumni, donors, patrons and the global Gator community to move PHHP forward.
Harrison is a Kentucky native who joins PHHP by way of Macon, Georgia. He is a two-time Western Kentucky University graduate who has more than 10 years of advancement experience at state universities and private colleges. He has volunteered with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Georgia Education Advancement Council.
As director of advancement, Harrison collaborates with college leadership, faculty and staff, as well as UF Advancement, to increase philanthropic efforts and engagement with friends, alumni and partners.
In his free time, Harrison enjoys spending time with his family, trying new restaurants and attending live sporting events. He is a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Harrison is excited to be part of a college that focuses on education, research, clinical care and service that has a global impact.

Our mission and her vision resonate with me, a person whose life has been impacted greatly by public health and health professions,” he said. “Philanthropy plays a huge role in our outcomes, and I look forward to working with all who invest in our college!”
