In April, the UF Alumni Association honored business owners Melissa Cere, D.P.T., and Megan Molyneux, M.O.T., whose companies have been ranked on the Gator100, the world’s fastest-growing Gator-owned businesses. This is the second time on the Gator100 list for both Cere (2019) and Molyneux (2020).
Melissa Cere, master’s in physical therapy ’02, and her husband Tony Cere, P.T., D.P.T., M.S.E., own Kinetix Physical Therapy, a provider of physical therapy and wellness services in the Gainesville area for more than 12 years.
“One of the best compliments we could ever receive as practice owners is having current or former patients refer their friends and family to us for PT,” Melissa Cere said. “As clinic owners, we can intentionally assemble an A+ team to achieve our mission of helping more people get out of pain naturally and back to doing the things they love.”
Megan Molyneux, bachelor’s in health science ’04 and master’s in occupational therapy ’05, is the president of Florida Contract Automated Shading, a window treatment subcontractor with a specialization in challenging motorization applications.
“Being the in OT program taught me so many things, including how to multitask,” Molyneux said. “It definitely prepared me for the sales reps, scheduling, meetings and any issues that might arise. It also really taught me the power of taking care of the clients with the utmost care. I cared deeply for my patients and it’s carried over to my business. I like to make sure they feel taken care of from beginning to end. A happy client is the best advertising you could pay for.”
