Robert G. Frank, Ph.D., former dean of the College of Public Health and Health Professions, presents David Colburn, Ph.D., with the college’s Gutekunst Award (named for Dean Emeritus Richard R. Gutekunst) at the college’s spring commencement ceremony in 2005. Colburn, who served UF for nearly 50 years as a beloved history professor and in several administrative posts, including provost, passed away September 18, due to complications from an extended illness.
