What will your legacy be?

A gift of any size can help create a healthier world

As the University of Florida continues its journey to “Go Greater” with the help of private gifts, excitement is high for the future of the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the university.

If you have ever thought about leaving a legacy gift to the college, please consider doing so now and becoming part of the PHHP Legacy Society. We can work with you, your family and your financial advisers to help you create a plan that meets your financial and charitable goals. A gift of any size can help create a healthier world by supporting student scholarships, faculty teaching and research, or unrestricted funding to address future health challenges we can’t even imagine today.

By documenting your intent now, you will not only leave your mark on the future of PHHP education, research and service, you will also have a tremendous impact on future students and the lives they will touch.

There are several ways to make a legacy gift:

GIFT IN YOUR WILL OR TRUST

This is flexible, easy and includes an estate tax deduction.

LIFE INSURANCE BENEFICIARY GIFT

This enables you to leave all or a portion of your policy to the college for the purpose you choose.

RETIREMENT PLAN BENEFICIARY GIFT

Retirement plans will transfer tax-free.

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY

This method is easy, secure, includes a tax deduction and gives you a safe annual fixed income for life and/or the life of a loved one.

CHARITABLE REMAINDER UNITRUST

Your gift will provide you and/or a loved one with an annual market-sensitive income, which includes tax savings now and in the future. When the trust ends, your gift is distributed to the designation of your choice at the College of Public Health and Health Professions.

We have a team of professionals who would be happy to explore any of these options with you. For more information, please contact Sam Wagner, PHHP’s associate director of development and alumni affairs, at 352-273-6540 or samuel.wagner@ufl.edu.
