Meryl Alappattu, a doctoral student in rehabilitation science, was elected vice president of the Florida Physical Therapy Association.

Julia Carmody, a doctoral student in clinical psychology, received a travel award from the Society of Pediatric Psychology to present her research at the society’s annual conference in Philadelphia.

Roy Coronado, a doctoral student in rehabilitation science, is co-author of a paper that won the Journal of Manual & Manipulative Therapy’s John Medeiros Distinguished Author Award for 2013.

Xiao (Bela) Zhang, a doctoral student in environmental and global health, and Christy Karabetian, a doctoral student in clinical psychology, are recipients of UF’s 2013 Outstanding International Student Awards.

D. Rudyard (Rud) Nast, a doctoral student in audiology, has been awarded a National Institutes of Health Mentored Poster Travel Award to present research at the 2014 meeting of the American Auditory Society.

Fredy Mora Solis, a doctoral student in rehabilitation science, received a travel award from the Force and Motion Foundation to present a research poster at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting.

Adam Reid, a doctoral student in clinical psychology, received UF’s I-Cubed Graduate Student Mentoring Award. The award honors graduate students who help other students succeed.

Cesar Escobar Rivera, a doctoral student in health services research, received the Wireless Health 2013 Travel Award from the National Science Foundation to present his research at the Wireless Health conference.

Eric Soule, a doctoral student in public health, received the 2013 Student Poster Showcase Award for Tobacco Use Prevention given by the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Section of the American Public Health Association.
