Dawn Bowers, Ph.D., a professor in the department of clinical and health psychology, was awarded Fellow Status by the American Psychological Association Division 40 (Neuropsychology). 

Giselle Carnaby, Ph.D., M.P.H., co-director of the UF Swallowing Research Laboratory and an associate professor in the department of behavioral science and community health, received the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance’s 2012 Investigator of the Year Award.

Linda Cottler, Ph.D., M.P.H., has been named the College of Public Health and Health Professions’ associate dean for research and planning. She is the dean’s professor and chair of the department of epidemiology in the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the UF College of Medicine.

Barbara Curbow, Ph.D., a professor and chair of the department of behavioral science and community health, was appointed program leader of the UF Shands Cancer Center’s newly established population science program.

Kimberly Foli, a research coordinator in the department of clinical and health psychology, was named the College of Public Health and Health Professions’ 2012 Employee of the Year.

Thomas Kerkhoff, Ph.D., a clinical professor in the department of clinical and health psychology, received the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Psychological Association’s Rehabilitation Psychology division.

Ira Longini Jr., Ph.D., a professor of biostatistics at the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Medicine, and co-director of the Center for Statistics and Quantitative Infectious Diseases at the UF Emerging Pathogens Institute, has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Michael Marsiske, Ph.D., an associate professor of clinical and health psychology, was selected as a UF Research Foundation professors for the 2012-2015 term. He is also the recipient of UF’s Doctoral Mentoring Award for 2012-2013.

Richard Rheingans, Ph.D., an associate professor in the college’s department of environmental and global health and UF’s Center for African Studies, has been named the UF 2012 International Educator of the Year in the junior faculty category.

Ronald Rozensky, Ph.D., a professor of clinical and health psychology, is the 2013 recipient of the Distinguished Service to the Profession of Psychology Award from the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is also the recipient of the Award for Distinguished Career Contributions to Education and Training from the American Psychological Association and the Education Advocacy Distinguished Service Award from the American Psychological Association Board of Educational Affairs.

PHHP employees Kimberly Foli, Vera Hemphill, Aaron McEnery and Cheryl Weston received UF Superior Accomplishment Awards in the Health Science Center division.
