Pamela Arrington, bachelor’s in medical laboratory sciences ’93, received her State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
Lt. Col. Thomas Bundt, Ph.D. in health services research ’02, moved to a new military assignment in Germany. He runs a health care system as a chief operating officer for the Bavarian Healthcare Region.
Timothy DeVine, physical therapy ’81, had an orthopedic outpatient practice and worked in a children’s hospital for 25 years. Now he is a hospitalist in a community, university hospital in West Virginia, outside Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.
Lori Gonzalez, Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders ’89, was named the provost and executive vice chancellor at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. She previously served as dean of the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences.
Christine Gray, Ph.D. in clinical and health psychology ’98, accepted a position as a clinical assistant professor at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif. She works with patients pre- and post-stem cell transplant.
Melissa Hall, Doctor of Audiology ’10, joined the faculty of the UF department of speech, language, and hearing sciences. She most recently served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina.
Dyanne Herrera, master’s in public health ’09, received the Hillary B. Foulkes Memorial Award from the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists for her work as an epidemiology fellow.
Carlton Innis, master’s in health administration ’02, was elected treasurer of the National Association of Health Services Executives for 2012-2013.
Cheryl Booth Jones, master’s in health administration ’02, works for CRISP, Maryland’s Statewide Health Information Exchange and Regional Extension Center as the director of outreach. She recently gave birth to her first child, Amani Soleil.
Mohan Krishnan, Ph.D. in clinical and health psychology ’09, joined the Center for Autism in Grand Rapids, Mich. as a neuropsychologist.
Devorah Leiberman, Ph.D. in communication processes and disorders ’84, was named president of the University of La Verne in La Verne, Calif.
Armenthis Lester, bachelor’s in occupational therapy ’00, received the Jim McCawley Award — VA Employee of the Year, Alachua County, for her work in the community with returning combat veterans.
Maj. Robert Montz, master’s in occupational therapy ’06, moved to Fort Drum, N.Y. from Fort Benning, Ga. to be the chief of occupational therapy services at Guthrie Army Health Clinic, home of the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry).
Kenneth Pugh, Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders ’99, was named head of audiology at the University of Texas at Dallas Callier Center. He previously served on the faculty at the University of Hawaii.
Yvonne Rogalski, master’s in communication sciences and disorders ’05 and Ph.D. in rehabilitation science ’10, received an Advancing Academic-Research Careers award from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is an assistant professor at Ithaca College in New York.
Renee Thompson, master’s in health administration ’01, accepted a manager role with Huron Consulting Group in March. She specializes in patient flow.
Marieke Van Puymbroeck, Ph.D. in rehabilitation science ’04, received tenure and promotion at Indiana University. She has over 40 research publications, many in top tier journals.
Every UF graduation is special, but on May 28 nine students had the distinction of being the first graduates of UF’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine/Master of Public Health joint degree program.
