Elena Andresen, Ph.D., joined former first lady Rosalynn Carter for “Averting the Caregiver Crisis” at Georgia Southwestern State University. Andresen, a professor in UF’s department of epidemiology, spoke to summit attendees about monitoring caregiver health.
Babette Brumback, Ph.D., an associate professor in UF’s department of biostatistics, has been appointed to a four-year term on the Clinical and Integrative Cardiovascular Sciences Study Section of the National Institutes of Health’s Center for Scientific Review.
Sherrilene Classen, Ph.D., an associate professor in the department of occupational therapy, was appointed as an extraordinary professor by the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
Lisa Edmonds, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the department of speech, language and hearing sciences, was named the college’s 2011 Teacher of the Year.
Deidre Pereira, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the department of clinical and health psychology, received an Excellence Award for Assistant Professors from UF’s Provost’s Office.
Bridgett Rahim-Williams, Ph.D., M.P.H., a research assistant professor in the department of behavioral science and community health, received a Disparities Research and Education Advancing Mission (DREAM) Career Transition Award from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities.
Dorian Rose, Ph.D., P.T., a research assistant professor in the department of physical therapy, received the 2010 J. Brooks Brown Annual Research Award from Brooks Rehabilitation.
Christopher Spankovich, Au.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., an assistant research professor in the department of speech, language and hearing sciences, was appointed an Audiology Today editorial advisor in the area of research.
